Worlds best big sister (well one of them)
As I mentioned the girls really love Lev. Zoe is an excellent big sister and can be helpful with him. When he is crying she often goes over to him and cheers him up. For some reason at this time when she was holding him and trying to get him to stop crying she was very nervous that he would spit up on her. She is really repulsed by his spit up though Lilia will happily clean up a spit-up mess! Lev of course loves his big sisters and always watches whatever they are doing.
Yerba Buena gardens
We had a wonderful day downtown at Yerba Buena Gardens. After riding the carrousel and exploring the playground and the gardens we watched some funky free outdoor performance that involved stilts. Zoe ran into a friend of hers from ballet class and the three girls had a great time running around during the show. We had brick oven pizza from a food truck that is made from a shipping container. Then we rode the trolley back home.
Lilia and her baby
Both of the girls really love their baby brother. On this particular afternoon Lilia and Lev and I were home while Zoe was out at the playground (of course not alone!). Lilia enjoyed helping me give Lev a bath and holding him -when Zoe is home the two of them tend to be too involved in playing together to do these things.
Scooting around our 'hood
While Zoe is in school Lilia and I often do little outings which often involve errands. On this particular morning we went to the post office and Walgreens and then met Linda for lunch at our usual spot. Lilia remembered the name of the waiter there (though she later described him to Jeff and called him "the chef.") Lilia rode her scooter the whole morning and napped well when we finally got home.

4 months old
At 4 months old Lev smiles and laughs a lot. He can role from tummy to back. He loves to watch his big sisters. He loves playing in his bouncy seat. His Nanky is great at making him smile and laugh.

Mission walk
We are lucky to live near such a fun and colorful neighborhood. We spent Sunday morning walking in the Mission (a short walk from our house). We visited an alley of murals, a colorful playground, a great little Mexican restaurant and of course Humphry Slocombe (the girls' favorite ice cream place which Zoe spotted from 2 blocks away despite the fact that she's only approached it by car in the past and we hadn't told her we were going to be walking anywhere near it!).
