8 months old

At 8 months Lilia is babbling a lot. She loves to stand and can pull to standing from sitting and loves to stand holding onto something. She loves to eat! She loves purees and also feeds herself little chunks of food. Her favorites are bananas and baby puffs. She loves to play with Zoe. Her favorite toys are her Exersaucer and an animal shape sorter (though of course she's not sorting the shapes yet -just stuffing whichever one she picks up in any of the holes). She loves tagging along to Zoe's playdates and afternoons in the playground. She's usually pretty content to sit and watch the action.

off to baby Aaron's party

Zoe was very proud of the way she looked carrying Aaron's gift as if it were a handbag.

standing like a big girl

Don't they look so much older in a fully vertical position?

sour face

Zoe made this face after tasting some lime juice while helping dad make margaritas.

little Sofia's party

brat pack

We have a great group of friends from our old building (though most of us no longer live in the building). Recently we said goodbye to our good friends Michelle and Sophia who are moving to London. So sad!

clothes horse

As I've mentioned Zoe loves to dress up like a fairy, a princess, a cow girl and a few others. She also has a lot of opinion about what she wears each day. Lately I've had to return a lot of clothes because Zoe made it very clear that she was NEVER going to let me get them on her. On this particular afternoon she brought the step stool into her room so that she could find something to wear out to a playdate despite the fact that she was already dressed in clothes and a fairy costume.

Zoe loves pushing Lilia on the swings.

cutie

a little too cool

I don't know what has gotten into her but Lilia's been acting a bit too cool lately. We keep finding her with these glasses on.

fun in Central Park

at a friend's baptism

After the baptism ceremony for our friends' baby Zoe entertained Lilia outside for a bit. Zoe's funny line of the day: "It was so nice of them to wash baby Vaughn's hair in church."

that's my cat Tess

Lilia loves our cats. We are wondering if her first word will be "kitty" (that was Zoe's first word).

check it out!

After just 1 day the smallest seeds started to grow!

easter eggs are fun

My favorite was the pink egg.

Vesuvio playground

When the weather is nice we love to walk up to Vesuvio playground in Soho.

Passover 2010

We hosted our 3rd annual seder the other night. Lilia had a terrible time -she was not feeling well and very fussy. Zoe, always the party girl, had the time of her life. Of course in this picture neither girl looks very happy but that's just because it's unbelievably difficult to get a passable picture of the 2 of them.

butterflies!

On the first day of Z's Spring break we took a trip to the Museum of Natural History to see the butterflies with some friends.
