picnic in the park

We often like to eat lunch in the park behind our building.

9 months old!

She can speak! She says "kitty" very clearly these days. She can also say "nana" and "hi." Her hobbies include pulling bows out of her hair, pulling socks and shoes off of her feet and playing with Zoe's toys. She likes to eat almost anything as long as she can pick it up herself. She can wave and clap and dance to music. She finds Zoe absolutely fascinating.

street kids

Hi guys!

Lilia has been waving hello lately. She likes to wave to strangers in the elevator.

Zoe insists this picture is of me with baby Kai but I'm positive it's my friend Liam. I don't know why Zoe thinks all of my friends look the same just because they are all babies.

ready, steady, go!

"my 4 favorite things...

are lamby, cupcakes, princesses and milk." -Zoe Calla, age 2 1/2

Zoe's Day

Today was Zoe's day at preschool. She had a bunch of projects to present to the class and we baked pink(alicious) cupcakes and she "read" her favorite book to the class (Pinkalicious of course!). She was excited from the moment she woke up and of course had to wear her favorite purple dress (it gets worn pretty much any time it's clean). I went to school to help with the presentation but I didn't have much to do because as soon as we got up there she started telling the class all about the various collages and drawings she had done for her day.

I was bit by a travel bug!

It runs in our family. Here I am applying for my passport. Soon I'll be able to pop over the pond to meet my G.G. Nita!

Happy mother's day!

my new toy!

Lilia loves her new music table.

riding with the big kids

I always like to ride on this with the big kids (I'm a big girl myself after all). It really scares mom.

Aunt Leslie and Uncle Mitch

After the farm we had lunch at Aunt Leslie's and Uncle Mitch's house. Zoe loved their new kiddie pool. We were all a little jealous that she fit in it as it was a very hot day and the big pool isn't open yet! Lili who was very tired from not napping was not such a fan of the pool.

Blue Hill Farm

We went to an event at Blue Hill Farm where the kids get to gather eggs from the chickens and then watch the pigs eat the cracked eggs. It was a gorgeous day and lots of fun although Zoe was terrified of the chickens.

Tribeca Film Festival

When Grammy and Grandpa dropped Zoe off we all headed out to the Tribeca Film Festival family festival. Zoe had a great time in a cardboard castle and dancing to a Beatles cover band.

Lilia's weekend alone

Zoe spent the weekend with Grammy and Grandpa and of course had a wonderful time. Lilia got to do some things that she doesn't usually do during her stint as an only child. She went to a music class, a playgroup and out to brunch at Bubbys with Mom and Dad.
