Lilia's buddies
Because Lilia was born into a much more chaotic family than Zoe it took a while to get her into her own activities and for her to make some friends. Lilia now has her own little crowd of 4 friends who we meet with for weekly playdates (Zoe and another big sibling get to tag along).
"Lili go school"
That's what she said when she put on her rain boots and picked up Zoe's backpack. The other day when Lilia and I picked Zoe up at school Zoe commented that "Lilia really seems ready for school. Look how she just runs into my classroom." It's not too far off!

Don't be mistaken -Zoe is not 3 anymore, she is 3 1/2 -if you forget she'll make sure to remind you. At 3 1/2 Zoe's favorite activities are art projects, playing with any sort of small figures such as her Olivia the pig house, and of course playing dress-up. She has a lot of friends at school (her teachers tell us that she's very well-liked by all of her classmates). Her best friends as she lists them are Sadie, Selby, Ella, Eva, Manu and Keshav. Her favorite show is Word World and her favorite movies are Annie and Mary Poppins. She loves singing all of the songs from Annie and has asked if she can be in the show someday. Her favorite foods are tortellini with pesto, salmon sashimi, fries, toast and jam and ice cream. Our new tradition is to have ice cream on half birthdays.

yum!
Lilia didn't enjoy her first trip to the theater (a children's production of Beauty and the Beast). While Zoe watched the play with her friend Sadie Lilia and I went for a walk.
Dress-up
As I've mentioned before dress-up is THE favorite activity in our house. Here they are in action. Zoe loves her reversible "twirl dress" that Nanky gave her over a year ago. Rarely does a day go by that she doesn't wear it for at least part of the day.
