little photographer
Lilia has been obsessed with her camera (it was actually a Hannukah gift for Zoe from Aunt Holly and Uncle Fred but Lilia has adopted it as her own). While Zoe and Lev and I went to a birthday party Jeff took Lilia to the Botanical Gardens where they both photographed the flowers.

s'mores!
Zoe has been asking to try s'mores for months now -so one day when she didn't have school we made them in the microwave. She said she had expected it to be softer but was not disappointed.
2.5!
Lilia is 2.5 today! She's become the comedian in the family -the punchline of many of her jokes is either "eyeball eyeball" or "with a ghost costume on!" We have no idea where she gets it but for a 2.5 year old it's pretty good comedy. She loves to play baby or Calico Critters with Zoe and has recently gotten the hang of riding her scooter. A month or so after her second birthday she decided she'd had enough of diapers and has been successfully out of them ever since. She loves school and loves hanging out with Zoe's friends (she doesn't have a huge social life of her own yet but that will probably change over time). Her favorite food is probably hummus or sushi. She's come to really love her baby brother and loves to give him hugs and kisses and tell him that she loves him.

We jammin', we jammin', we jammin', we jammin'
I bought this shirt a few days before Zoe was born -seems we've gotten our use out of it! Can you tell who is who?
Lilia's crib
Lilia is still sleeping in a crib (Zoe moved to a toddler bed at 22 months with no problem but Lilia, now a few days shy of 2.5, only recently said she'd be OK with the switch). She likes to make a "bed" for her "friends" using her Gir-Girs (giraffe lovey blankets). She also likes to keep her paci collection on the top rail of her crib -and has a story about each one including who got it for her and which plane or long car ride she used it on (she is only allowed her pacis for night/nap and for naps on planes or in the car if we are driving very far).

Lev started smiling about two weeks ago -and here is the first one that we caught on camera.
plum blossom trees
It has been very nice having these beautiful trees in bloom outside of our windows the past few weeks. Zoe and Lilia even brought some blossoms in to school for their class vases.
Pinkalicious: the Musical
The girls had a great time seeing Pinkalicious with some friends. They both fell fast asleep on the drive home (very common for Z and very rare for Lilia).
At the Academy
We had a great morning at the Academy of Sciences with Nanky and Papa (it was their first time!).

a quiet afternoon
Between Lilia's late naps and Lev's fussy evenings we've been spending a lot more of our afternoons at home. Here are some pictures from today.
Sisterly love
When I arrived at our preschool today all of the kids were outside playing instead of in their classrooms as they usually are. Zoe, Lilia and Zoe's friend Sadie were all playing together and giggling. Zoe and Lilia really are the best of friends and it really warms my heart to see them voluntarily playing together at school.

new clothes
Zoe has been asking me to get her and Lilia matching dresses for a while now. The girls picked these out and were excited to wear them today to enjoy 70 degree weather on Super Bowl Sunday!
1 month old
At one month old Lev is starting to look around and notice things like the other members of the family. He can hold his head up while on his belly. He's not sleeping well at all -hopefully this will change soon!
