Alice and Pinkalicious
This picture was taken at a Halloween party at our friends' house. Zoe and Lilia decided to dress up as Alice (in Wonderland) and Pinkalicious this year. For about a year they have had an ongoing game where they are these characters. Practically daily they play something with these characters such as "Alice and Pinkalicious go to gymnastics class." The colors of their characters (blue for Alice, pink of course for Pinkalicious) have become their colors of choice.
On the night Lev wore his wolf suit...
Since the girls both chose characters from children's books to dress up as this year, it seemed fitting that Lev would also dress up as a character from a children's book.
Baby fairy
Several months ago a ceramic fairy appeared in our back yard. We have no idea where it came from. Nanky was visiting at the time and also has no idea where it came from. Such a mystery! Zoe recently had a day off from school so we went to a ceramic painting place and Zoe made a baby fairy to keep the other fairy company.
Dino dance
When I pick Lilia up at school she usually runs onto these steps with her friends and they all yell "dino dance" and start dancing! I have no idea where it comes from.
Pajamas after swim class
Now that the girls take swim classes later in the day we started to notice that a lot of the kids change into PJs after swim class. We decided to start doing this too.
Mini sleepover
Zoe and her friend Laurel had fun having a "mini sleepover" -they had dinner and then watched a movie in PJs and then Laurel went home and slept in her own bed.
Legion of Honor
We had a nice afternoon at the beautiful Legion of Honor museum followed by a trip to a playground that we had never been to.
Mini Maker Faire
We met up with some friends at the Mini Maker Faire in the East Bay. The Maker Faire is an event that is filled with pretty much any sort of creative idea and construction that someone can come up with. This Maker Faire was specifically for kids. The girls loved riding in the giant teacup car, playing with a Jeep that was covered in Legos, and making a house out of popsicle sticks that wouldn't collapse when put on a shaking platform. Zoe decided to make a triangular house because triangles are the strongest shape.
