Soccer girl

Lev isn't the only one in the family who has been having fun playing soccer recently. Soccer class continues to be the highlight of Lilia's week. 

Nutcracker

Zoe enjoyed an evening performance of SF Ballet's Nutcracker. 

Headbands

Lev enjoys wearing headbands like his sitters do. One morning recently when me, Zoe and Lev left the house he ran to get a headband and then proudly announced "Zoe has her headband, I have my headband and you have your glasses."  I was wearing my sunglasses on my head as a "headband."

Peter and the Wolf

Lilia went to see the SF Youth Symphony perform Peter and the Wolf.  A few of her classmates joined us. While the Davies Symphony Hall is beautiful I think it's safe to say that Lilia prefers musical theater to symphony.  She asked "why is this show just these boring instruments?"

Holiday concert

Zoe enjoyed her school holiday concert.  Her class sang a Hanukkah song this year.

Red Ribbon

Lilia was very proud to receive her red ribbon in swimming. Some of the skills she has completed include swimming without fins, "sit jumps" and back swim.

Spa Day

Lilia had a lot of fun at a frien's birthday having a mani/pedi and a chocolate facial. 

Assistant Coach Lev

Lev has earned the title of "assistant coach" in his soccer class because he takes the class very seriously. If there is a ball or another prop left across the field he immediately tells the coach and volunteers to go get it and put it where it belongs. If one of the kids is doing something that they shouldn't be doing like picking up the cones that are meant to stay on the field be runs over and sets them straight with "you don't do that."

Gardening

We are all excited about our winter crops in our new garden.  Let's hope the unusually cold weather we've had the past few days hasn't harmed them.

Velveteen Rabbit

We had a great day with friends (Zoe's good friend/classmate and his sister who will be starting school with Lilia next year and their mom) eating lunch at Super Duper and seeing ODC's Velveteen Rabbit at Yerba Buena.  We had seen it last year at this time and Zoe didn't stop talking about it and really wanted to see it again.  This time it was a huge hit with Lilia too.  When it ended she said "More show please!"

The kids had fun making a village of gingerbread houses.

Gymnastics games

Zoe and Lilia love to play that they are in a gymnastics competition.  Here they are at Zoe's school playing with some friends on the balance beam.

8 Candles Burning!

We had a lot of fun celebrating the last night of Hanukkah with friends.  Lev is pictured with his two good friends Mason and Shoshi.  They will all be starting preschool together in the Fall.  It was hard to get a picture that showed all of their faces because they were bouncing off the walls.  Zoe is with her good friend from preschool.
