Mini Maker Faire
We had a nice day with friends at the Mini Maker Faire. The kids were able to make "Doodle Bots" which are little robots that can draw on their own. They also made perfume and disassembled some electronic devices.
Hyde Street Pier
Lev enjoyed a trip on the cable car down to Hyde Street Pier to see the old ships with Mom and Nanky. He was very intent on finding the steering wheel and driving the boat (which is permanently docked).
Bowling party
There have been a lot of birthdays in Lilia's class lately (including her own!). Her she is at a recent bowling party for one of her classmates.
3 Little Gymnasts
Zoe continues to enjoy her gymnastics pre team. Starting this week she will stay an extra 30 minutes after each class to work with the team for a bit on conditioning. Her coach suggested this as a good way for her to see if she feels that she is ready for the competitive team since they have longer practices and do more conditioning (which is the part of gymnastics that she does not like!). Lilia recently was able to move out of the preschool level class and into a beginner class for ages 5 and up. She is really enjoying being in the big side of the gym. She has a great coach who is helping her with her cartwheels and she has really improved a lot. Lev just started in a toddler parent participation class. He seems to love it though sometimes he finds it difficult to understand why he can't just jump on the trampoline and into the foam pit for the entire class.
School picnic
We all had a very nice day at the girls' school Fall picnic. Here Zoe is with two of her good friends.
Lev's first day of preschool
Lev is enjoying his school. He is there Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings in the Nevatim class. The class this year is mainly siblings and includes two of his best pals. He loves playing with trains at school. His teachers Karen, Beth and Gina all taught either Zoe or Lilia at one point or another.
Lilia is 5!
We had a nice day celebrating Lilia's 5th birthday at the American Girl store, and at a restaurant called Straw for a family dinner.
Church of 8 Wheels
Zoe had fun celebrating a friend's birthday at the Church of 8 Wheels which is a funky roller skating rink in an old church.
