Zoe has become very good friends with the girls on her gymnastics team.  They had fun celebrating a birthday recently.

Science fair

Zoe's science fair project was called Cabbage Chemicals and used cabbage juice to test the acidity in various liquids.

Sacramento fun

We had a great time in Sacramento.  Zoe had a great gymnastics meet, we spent a lot of time swimming, and we visited a one room schoolhouse, the historic downtown, and the railway museum.

Beam

Zoe placed 7th on beam at this meet.  It was a personal best.

Good fortunes

During a recent week off from school we met up with a friend of Lilia's at the Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Factory where fortune cookies were (supposedly) invented.  Then we spent the day exploring Chinatown and Union Square.

We had a nice time wearing flowers in our hair with friends at the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival.

Paper princesses

Lilia recently went to a birthday party at a friend's house.  The friend's mom is so creative that she led the girl in a paper dress making project!  The details are amazing!

Boy in the Bubble

We had a nice day at the preschool Fall picnic.  It was a very hot day and the kids loved the entertainment which was a bubble guy.

The kids' after school activities are in full swing.  Zoe is just doing (a lot of) gymnastics at the moment.  Lilia is playing soccer which she loves, and taking ballet and gymnastics classes.  Here she is in her first soccer game of the season.  She's on an all girls team with many of her best friends/classmates so that helps make it lots of fun.  Lev is taking soccer and swimming and gymnastics.
