Boy in the Bubble
We had a nice day at the preschool Fall picnic. It was a very hot day and the kids loved the entertainment which was a bubble guy.

Soccer
The kids' after school activities are in full swing. Zoe is just doing (a lot of) gymnastics at the moment. Lilia is playing soccer which she loves, and taking ballet and gymnastics classes. Here she is in her first soccer game of the season. She's on an all girls team with many of her best friends/classmates so that helps make it lots of fun. Lev is taking soccer and swimming and gymnastics.

Ballet
Here are some pictures of Lilia in her first ballet class of the year which she is taking with two of her good friends from preschool.
Rock climbing
Lilia had a lot fun fun recently at a friends' rock climbing birthday party. At first she was afraid to climb high but once she got started she climbed to the top and was very proud of herself.
Floor routine
Here is Zoe's floor routine from her 1st gymnastics meet. I felt horrible that her scrunchy fell out during the backward roll! I will definitely be looping the scrunchy a few more times for the next meet as she actually received a .1 deduction for this (which wasn't a big deal as she was completely oblivious to the scoring).
Apple Farm
We had a nice day at an apple farm followed by dinner on the beach with some friends. Lev particularly enjoyed feeding apples to the cows. He wore his t-shirt from Slide Ranch, which is another farm that we've visited. One of the employees at the apple farm asked him "Have you been to Slide Ranch, isn't it beautiful?" to which he replied "Yes but it's not called Slide Ranch it's actually called Sea Ranch." Funny, he had no idea he was wearing a Slide Ranch shirt and does not remember our trip there but he does remember our trip to Sea Ranch last Spring.
Beach and Burmese
We had a nice afternoon visiting the beach, eating at our favorite Burmese restaurant, and following it up with ice cream.
Gymnastics party
Zoe has become friendly with some of her gymnastics teammates. Here she is at a party that one of the parents hosted before the start of the meet season.
Lilia's big day
Lilia and I visited Build a Bear on her birthday. It was our first time there and we had a lot of fun.
Back to preschool
Lev's year in the Elan class is off to a great start. He has one of our favorite teachers (each of the girls had her at this age and she sometimes babysits for us). He is the youngest in his class this year (whereas last year he was one of the oldest) and he seems to enjoy playing with the older boys.
